Vivid Audio V1w

For those situations where a floorstanding speaker is not practical, Vivid Audio has created the V1 Series. Within the range are three variants; the V1s (desktop), the V1w (wall mount) and the V1h (horizontal). Using the same cabinet material as its bigger siblings, the V1 Series of products are a similar 2-way design to the larger V1.5. However, they have slightly smaller cabinets (16 litres as opposed to 22 litres in the V1.5), which allows for a more compact product yet still retaining the Vivid Audio character of sound.
All models in the range use an adapted version of the standard Vivid Audio high frequency drive unit that fits into a waveguide unique to the V1 Series. This allows for more directivity control meaning that the sound can be focused onto the listening area, even if placed further away than the ideal positioning.
The V1s has its own integrated pedestal which makes it ideal for placement on a desktop or sideboard. The V1w comes packed with its own wall mounting bracket. This bracket uses a ball-joint mechanism that allows for 30 degrees of rotation in any angle allowing for high levels of versatility not normally associated with wall mounting speakers. The V1h is horizontally mounted on its own pedestal. Although intended to be used as a centre speaker in a home theatre system, this mounting option also permits placement where vertical space is an issue
