Vivid Audio was set up by a team united by the same passion and driven towards a common goal; to create a range of speakers that delivered the very best in performance and design. With engineering roots in the UK and manufacturing in South Africa, the Vivid Audio story is one of passion, determination and belief. 

Every Vivid Audio product design is founded on the same principle - form follows function. Having started his career at Bowers & Wilkins where he was responsible for such ground-breaking feats of innovation including internal Matrix™ cabinet bracing, reaction-cancelling bass drivers and the pinnacle of loudspeaker design – the Bowers & Wilkins Nautilus, Vivid Audio Design Director Laurence Dickie wanted to continue his desire to develop loudspeakers where the cabinet became acoustically invisible. He was introduced to Philip Guttentag in Durban, South Africa. Phillip, who has a long-standing love for all things audio, had created the basis of a loudspeaker project but needed the specialist skill to finish it off. The combination was electric and lead to the astonishing B1.

That was in 2001 and now the company has a range of 10 products including the world renowned G1 'Giya' which, at £39,000 a pair, is a truly iconic product.
